Little Sprouts Childcare

Exciting outdoor education for children aged 9 months to 5 years. Children free flow from the stimulating purpose built garden cabin into the beautiful garden, which has never-ending opportunities for play.

Children engage in educational activities, planned by the children, for the children. They are encouraged to care of their environment and enjoy growing and harvesting their own fruit and veg.

Small groups with a maximum of 6 children means they experience a nurturing, caring and loving environment. Little Sprouts has a real home from home feel and children settle quickly into the LS family.

EYFE Funding Parent/Carer Information โ April 2026
All eligible children are entitled to Early Years Free Entitlement (EYFE), which is funded by the government.
This includes:
- 15 hours (570 hours perย year) for all 3 and 4-year-olds
- Up to 30 hours (1140 hours perย year) for eligible working families of children aged 9 months to 4ย years
- Early Learning for 2-year-olds for families who meet specific eligibility criteria
At Little Sprouts, funding is stretched over 48 weeks of the year. This equates to:
- 11.87 hours per week (15 hours entitlement)
- 23.74 hours per week (30 hours entitlement)

All eligible children can access a funded-only place. This means families can take up their funded hours completely free of charge.
Funded hours will be deducted from your monthly invoice. Any additional hours attended beyond your funded entitlement will be charged at the usual hourly rate.
Consumables and Optional Charges
We offer an optional consumables package at a cost of ยฃ14.64 per fully funded day, which includes:
- Nappies and wipes
- Sun cream
- Home-cooked meals and snacks
- Outings and local trips
- Transport costs
Parents/carers may choose not to take this package. If opting out, families will need to provide all required consumables for their child, including:
- Food and snacks for the day
- Nappies and wipes
- Sun cream
- Any other necessary personal items
Deposits
We require a deposit of ยฃ100 to secure your childโs place.
- For children accessing funded hours only, this deposit will be refunded in full within one month of your child starting at the setting.
- For children attending additional paid hours, the ยฃ100 deposit will be deducted from the first invoice for paid hours.
Notice Period
The notice period for terminating your childcare contract is one month.
Applying for Funding
Parents/carers must inform the setting of their intention to claim funded hours before the funding start date. Funding will be applied from the next eligible headcount submission.
Late claims may result in a delay in funding being applied.
